BELIEFS & PRACTICES

OUR CORE BELIEFS |

  • We believe that God desires for us to come to know Him, find salvation through His Son Jesus, worship Him and spread the good news of His love for us.

  • We believe that God exists eternally in three persons; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that the Bible is inspired by God, true, trustworthy and completely authoritative over our lives.

  • We believe that salvation is offered to us through the sacrifice of Jesus, who gave His life willingly for us. Jesus was raised from the dead to overcome death itself and offer us eternal life.

  • We believe that everyone who desires to faithfully follow Jesus should repent (turn) from the sin that separates them from God, willingly confess publicly that they believe in Jesus and see Him as Lord and be baptized as we see demonstrated in the Bible.

  • We believe that every follower of Jesus, should reflect Him in their community, both through their love for others as well as through their desire to make Him known to others.

OUR CORE PRACTICES |

  • WE PRACTICE COMMUNION WEEKLY

We desire to follow the example laid out for us in scripture as closely as possible. As the apostles established the church, they made the regular observance of the Lord's Supper a priority. In addition to their example, we also believe that regular remembrance of Jesus's sacrifice, deepens our worship and honors God.

  • WE PRACTICE BAPTISM BY IMMERSION

The New Testament word for Baptism is a Greek word that most often means to 'dip or plunge'. We also believe that baptism by immersion best expresses the cleansing of sins that Jesus accomplished for us through his death on the cross, burial and resurrection from the dead.

  • WE VALUE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY

The New Testament speaks about the value that early Christians placed on their relationships with one another. We pray for each other, help each other in times of need, celebrate joys with one another, and comfort each other in times of grief.
